There are so many options for wedding favors for friends and family attending your ceremony and reception. You can choose from a variety of picture frame place card holders, whimsical little novelty gifts for beach themes and others, and many more selections of gifts. I wanted to give our friends and family something that was gorgeous, but at the same time, something I knew they would use, so I decided on candle wedding favors. I also bought a lovely wedding unity candles, just to add to the décor of all my reception tables. They really looked nice with all the other decorations and the lovely centerpieces I got from the florist. Our wedding cake topper was really spectacular and it didn’t cost near as much as we expected a customized cake topper would cost. This lovely cake topper was a bride and groom figurine that were exact replicas of me and my fiance, and our guests were really astonished. All that was required of us was to turn in a couple of head shots of each of us so they would have something to work with. The three tiered chocolate wedding cake we had made was just gorgeous and was decorated with all red and pink flowers surrounding it. The calla lily cake serving set was one that I just absolutely went nuts over and it just looked so delicate lying next to our beautiful cake.
We ordered special champagne flutes for our wedding table that saids ‘bride’ and ‘groom’ on them, and other crystal flutes for our guests, that they were also given to take home. We figured it would make more sense to let our guests have them as souveniers then to try to find a place to put 200 champagne flutes. We had enough momentos of our wedding day, like our photo album, topper, wedding guestbook with all the signatures and so much more. One of the items in our five piece wedding set was the claret colored wedding guestbook with guest sign in pages, a place to list the gifts we received and a special spot for those little momentos. I think the guest book is important, not only to have everyones’ name that attended, but for later use when you are filling out thank you notes. You want to be able to mention the gift they gave you when writing out your thank you cards, it’s much more personal that way.
Some of our friends and family complimented me on my choice of unique candle wedding favors as their thank you gifts, and told me how much they liked them. Looks like a made a wise choice in wedding favors. We were told, by our guests, as we departed for our honeymoon, that it was a fantastic wedding and reception and they all hoped for the best for us. Our wedding day is a day that will live long in our memories.
