You can definitely call their wedding romantic with all the heart wedding accessories they had for decoration. From the invitations to the wedding favors everything had cute little hearts on it. The pretty heart favors they sent out had a couple of silver hearts on the outside with the scheduling and contact information all printed so that it was right there when you opened it up. With the silver on them, they were rather striking. Two wee hearts hung from their unity candle, which was flanked by taper candles sitting in very fine-looking holders. The altar looked fabulous with all the lovely flower bouquets and the candle setting. They even had hearts hung on the end of each pew with the tulle draping from row to row. I’m sure that the hearts were related to the wedding day falling on Valentine’s Day. It was an incredible wedding, highlighted by a bride that was so lovely, she could have been an angel.
The décor of the reception included a plethora of hearts and flowers. The silver hearts wedding theme carried over to the place cards holders at the reception tables, and they complimented the red and white rose centerpieces beautifully. The tables all looked elegant with the sparkling champagne flutes and the lovely wine glasses. She did an awesome job of designing the place settings at the reception. The champagne flutes were long stemmed crystal and the wine glasses were personalized with the names of the bride and groom and the date of their wedding. For the bride and groom, there were a couple of very richly adorned champagne glasses. It was very much like the silver hearts wedding invitation they sent out; it was a silver double hearts wedding champagne glass for each of them.
They had a five-layer hearts wedding cake that was really yummy. The cake was a dream for both the eyes and the stomach. They had a personalized wedding cake topper that was a spitting image of the two of them; come to think of it, this may have been the only item in the whole wedding that wasn’t a heart. The wedding cake topper was special, the only one of that type I’ve ever been exposed to. She found it online at the same place she got the rest of the items she needed for her ceremony and reception. From a few pictures of the two of them, they created a look-alike cake topper figurine for each of them; it was very impressive. I’m sure they’ll treasure that forever.
We had a gorgeous but cheap silver hearts wedding, in fact they gave us two thank you gifts. One gift was an adorable votive candle holder, and the other was a package of coffee, decorated differently for the ladies versus the men, that came with a heart-shaped utensil to scoop the coffee with. A very original idea for them to think of, I felt. Really, there was no shortage of awesome thoughts for the wedding. Obviously, Valentine’s Day made the hearts thing a natural fit, but the way she did it was quite classy. In my opinion, the wedding cake topper took the cake, so to speak. That could work great on a birthday cake or maybe even a graduation cake, not just a wedding cake. She offered to show me where she got everything, and she said that they have something for every occasion. They couldn’t have put it together any better, and all of the people who went had a smashing time there. I’m sure the bride and groom are having a great week in Mexico too. I can’t wait until they return and I can see all the pictures she took, listen to all the stories of the fabulous places they saw and things they did. The pictures she showed me on the brochures were fantastic.
