Perfect jewelry boxes

Monday, May 11th, 2009

In my day, jewelry boxes were just a box that all the jewelry went in, but now, you can buy watch jewelry boxes, earring jewelry boxes and boxes that are specifically made for necklaces only. The boxes can be designed in a wide variety of ways. The women who stood up in my daughter’s wedding all got a jewelry box from her, and she picked one out for herself as well. In fact, she found even more than that when she went shopping online for all of her wedding accessories and reception supplies. They have some pretty nice suggestions for wedding decors, from traditional to themed. My daughter and son in law chose to have a fairy tale themed wedding, with all the trimmings. She really did look like Cinderella at the ball in her lovely wedding gown and long veil, and I must admit my son in law looked just as good as Prince Charming in his stunning tux. It was a picturesque wedding. After the ceremony was over my daughter and son in law left the church in grand style with a horse drawn buggy and a driver dressed in a top hat and tails.
The reception had small white lights to add with the tulle that was draped above and tall flower vases scattered all about the room. An arch with green plants and red and white roses climbing up an arch stood behind the newlyweds’ table, while the wedding guests had at their tables an exquisite bouquet of flowers with sparkles that shimmered silver. The reception tables twinkled even more with the silver tea light dove place card holders she selected. All the lady guests received small jewelry boxes with sculpted flowers and little crystals to add to its beauty. The men were given little key chains with the well known frog prince as a charm. The girls that were in the wedding party got perfect wooden, silver plated personalized jewelry boxes that had black velvet lining. My daughter and son in law had each of them engraved with the bride and grooms name and date of the wedding. The bridesmaids were very appreciative of what my daughter gave them as a thank you gift. It was a box like I used to have, I had no idea it was a jewelry box, it was so expensive looking. Each of the groomsmen received a set of wine gifts and their names etched in a tiny plaque. I felt those were novel thank you gift ideas.
The three-layered wedding cake they had was topped in debounair fashion with a small castle as the wedding cake topper. The cake knife set and champagne glasses meshed perfectly together with the cake. Many of her decorations and supplies were top of the line, but she came in well below where I had expected on their wedding budget. We offered to pay for the wedding, since we are the brides parents, but they both insisted they could do it themselves.
The first dance for the bride and groom was like something in a movie, and it was very emotional for me. It was as if I were watching the real prince and princess in the Cinderella story dancing together. You would have thought that it was a real princess tossing her garter the way the guys jostled for position to get it; it was a very amusing sight to behold. My baby girl’s fantasies were fulfilled on a glorious wedding day, with all of her close friends and family members to share it with. They are off on their honeymoon, and I’m certain that it will be every bit as fantastic as the wedding. She promised to tell me all about the great places they went to while on their honeymoon, as soon as she gets home.

Great jewelry boxes

Getting the products I needed for the ceremony and reception required some thought, but as I turned my attention to getting a present for my bridesmaids, it dawned on me that I had a long ways to go yet. I just couldn’t seem to come across anything that they would really appreciate. A number of favors for reception guests and people who stand up in your wedding are out there on the web. Trying to select just the right one is where it got difficult. I stumbled across some wonderful low-priced thank you items as well. I got a really good deal on a wedding set that had a ring bearer pillow, a flower girl basket, a guest book, a pen, and eight pieces in total. That was a big savings. Instead of having to buy each piece separately, I was able to purchase it all together at a great low price.
I was just browsing through possible thank you presents when I finally came across something the women standing up for my wedding would like: a beautifully adorned jewelry box. As I looked, I discovered a variety of high-quality wedding jewelry boxes. Since I was having such a hard time making up my mind on which one I wanted to order, I decided to move on to the rest of my wedding needs and get back to the thank you gifts for my girls later. I still had to get supplies and accessories for the reception even though the wedding ceremony was all but taken care of. I didn’t have my wedding cake topper yet, nor did I have the wedding favors for my friends and family, so that’s where I went next. I opted for a bride and groom salt and pepper shaker set and a bottle opener made to look like doves that had a beautiful chrome finish. Normally, I would have gotten some containers for the chrome openers, but the boxes they came in were so adorable that I just went with those. The groomsmen all got a Swiss Army Knife type things from my groom, complete with a file and cork screw.
The topper I finally decided on was a bride and groom embracing and it was really quite lovely on top of our wedding cake. I almost picked one out that had embossed silver intials and crystals, but after looking through a whole bunch of possibilities, I went with our mini bride and groom. With all of the rest of it out of the way, it was time to make the call on a present for my bridemaids. I bought them all a piece of lovely wedding jewelry, and I put it in leather jewelry boxes. The piece I got each of the bridesmaids was a glittery rhinestone bangle. It may sound like that was a bit extravagant, but it wasn’t. The volume of options in discount wedding jewelry was so great, and so good, that I got them some of that and saved a little cash in the process. In fact I bought my pearl wedding jewelry to go with my wedding gown there too. The quality of the jewelry is top-notch, and the prices are deeply discounted. The girls really loved their thank you gifts and I guess the guys were happy with what my fiance chose for them too.
The wedding day was everything that I had fantasized it could be. Two single people drew some attention: my husband’s brother snatched the garter out of the air, and my sister won the bouquet toss. Might something come of it? If anything came of it and my sister and his brother end up married, that means my sister would also be my sister in law. You never know!
